Rafa Benitez, coach of Napoli, has warned of the importance of key factors such as concentration and character when judging the match tomorrow against Livorno in the return to the Serie A competetion. He was speaking in the usual press conference before the accredited media in the sports city of Castel Volturno. Rafa Benitez left his position at the press conference table in the press room and sat with the journalists to share with them closely some personal views in regards to technical and tactical preparation of matches. A gesture that was received very positively by the gathered media. The photo shown indicates the time when RB conversed with the media closely, during the press conference.

Returning to the game tomorrow against Livorno, the Spanish coach said, in summary, that "in Livorno awaits a serious, complicated, difficult and important game. So I hope the team once again demonstrates character in the field, the nature that has given us excellent results, others engaged in duels and not too long ago. It is a complex game, players will know this well and have now have to win all possible games to continue the healthy aspiration to finally close in on second place. We know it's not easy, we know the great season of Roma but now that's our goal in Serie A. We have an obligation to play a major tournament to offer it to our fans and we are in it".

Napoli face Livorno tomorrow in their stadium with two important absences in the list of the Neapolitan squad. Gonzalo Higuain and Raul Albiol, both with one-match ban for accumulation of cautions. The head of the Neapolitan club has recognized that "it is clear that Gonzalo (Higuain) is a very important player for us, just like Raul Albiol. But all is won or lost on the field and with the players on the field. We have a large squad, facing the commitments with confidence, regardless of whoever plays. We must always try to get the win, that's our mentality, our challenge from start to tackling a meeting, and the player who is in the field knows what to do, what to look for. We always have alternatives, we play with the players we have available and try to get the win. It is not worth the lamenting about not having this or that player".

Napoli returns to Serie A in high spirits after a good win in the UEFA Europa League...

"Yes, it's true. The real truth is that it was very difficult to win at Swansea, we knew and we succeeded. You have to congratulate my players. In Europe the tempo is quite different. There is much more intensity, very vertical play continuously and football almost played by heart develops by most computers. It's very important, very valuable I would say, accumulate experience to play clubs who play football that is not often seen in Italy. That's always rewarding and makes you grow. But when we commend my team, we must have perspective because not only shines in the continental competition against Genoa also saw the team make a great first half and then what happened in the second. That precisely is the key, at least as I see it. Getting to play as we have done on many occasions in recent games and continue working, maintaining that line, to improve slowly and approach the target".

What kind of game is expected tomorrow?

"I think the most important thing tomorrow is going to be to maintain the utmost control of the game itself. Playing against a big team can be considered small, it should not make any difference. In all cases and regardless of the opponent, it is necessary to manage the game very well, with the proper patience, as we have done, for example, and return to, against Swansea".

Who will play in the post Higuaín? Will Duván Zapata?

"Duván (Zapata) is a footballer who normally has to play by the script needs for physical challenges and to give his teammates a breather. Having an element ahead of the likes of Higuain makes your job easier, what is more important, your options. That may be your problem; you cannot keep a record of the game. But Duván is quite young, I think he has a future ahead and just needs to keep pace with little competition. Pandev is more used and is also perfectly cooked. Even Callejon can play forward in a scheme like that keep us. At each meeting we are looking for players who think they can be a security within the possibilities that you have".

Do you have any remorse for the lost points this season in the 'San Paolo'?

"Clearly, we all feel a little guilty, that is more than evident. Losing that many points at home means that we are still a team that needs to grow in terms of mentality and game management we spoke before. When we do it right, the result is always on our side. Well that's precisely what we must aspire to".

In terms of growth, at what stage is Napoli?

"We are at the beginning of a new cycle, a phase of project development. I think, from the beginning, has seen the percentage difference and nuances of which I spoke. The team is winning personality and, in turn, is very creative in attack. It is true that we are just playing a game every three days and almost from the start of the competition itself. And it is not easy to train and prepare meetings with so little time. But I learn from every game, every experience, I am absolutely convinced that until the end of the season growth will be evident and noticeable improvement".

The team is proving to be explosive on offense, but less secure in defense. What determines this fact?

"It's a matter of time and the characteristics of each player. Higuaín, Callejón, Insigne, Mertens, Pandev and Hamsik are constantly defending. They are very good players in attack to provide the same high quality. We have to find a balance in the defensive phase to allow the front to do their work normally. The main feature of this template is to attack, right. From there, it is my job to give solidity and balance to the team, in this case prioritizing defensive. And I am clear that we can do and we will prove it".

We play every three days, can this be a disadvantage facing the local championship?

"This season has not been easy, we have had many injuries and a large number of matches that forced us to confront a number of commitments in the same week. I have said repeatedly that the team is stronger thanks to the signings made by the club in January, we can have more players and the staff is more balanced. Clearly I prefer to take the chance that players have physical problems, just by playing many games per week, to be watching Thursday's game at home through television".

At what point is the recovery of Zuniga?

"Camilo (Zuniga) is working hard, is eager to return to the field and help the team. But the knee is still not cured, that is our reality and little can be done about it beyond assume. We'll see how it evolves following recovery".

What are the changes brought by the new philosophy of the 'Azzurri'?

"We are implementing a new message, a club that is growing, which has quality players who want to play a more attacking football. Initial training, system or scheme are not very important in this regard. If we have to defend, defend it. But we have to acquire an identity, we must have an idea of differentiated game. Then you have to be practical, maybe you can change tactics with the game in progress, but I think what matters is that the team has its own physiognomy and is easily recognizable".

What do you think of the arbitration argument, as discussed in Italy this week?

"I think what we should do is to respect them and let them work. I do not have to talk much about the referees. I am of that opinion and I work as such, for better or for worse. If you ask any coach in Serie A for a few episodes in which the referee has whistled against him, well maybe everyone will say that is enough. Of those who favored them will speak less. Everyone has something to reproach, but remember to arbitrate is very complicated and they play a key role in the development of the game itself. We need to let arbitrators quiet, because I understand that they do the best they can, working, studying, improving and trying to be aware of each episode happens in games. Sometimes they fail in the field, of course. They have errors, as we all have. But just because we are all human and as such we were wrong".

Tomorrow is a day appointed for you, celebrating 800 games in charge of the bench. Which game gives you the most satisfaction?

"I think certainly the final of the Champions League with Liverpool win against Milan in Istanbul. Not only for the win, but by how we did it. We lost three-nil at half time and our fans were still celebrating and supporting the team to death. In the end, we came back to win the competition. For me it will always be the end of the most exciting Champions League victory in history. I said that, I do not forget promotions to Extremadura and Tenerife, or leagues of Valencia ..."
