Rafa Benitez at the Toledo Congress
'Modern Times, Modern Managers' is the title of his presentation which he will deliver on Friday at the coaches' forum in the Imperial City
Rafa Benitez will open the National Congress for coaches on Friday in the Hotel Beatriz in Toledo with his presentation 'Modern Times, Modern Managers'. He will talk through his experiences as the manager of teams in the three biggest leagues in European football (Spain, England and Italy in chronological order) and he will give an analysis of clubs by using as examples the three clubs he has managed (Valencia CF, Liverpool FC and Inter Milan) where he won 9 trophies. The search for the key to success, in a thorough analysis of the circumstances and reality in each league with their own characteristics and conditions, will be discussed along with new technology used in his and his staff's daily work.
At the congress, which starts on Friday 1 June at 4 pm with the opening address, followed by Rafa Benitez's presentation scheduled for 5 pm, there will be diverse speakers such as the U17 world champion with Switzerland, Danny Ryser, the former coach of Villarreal CF Juan Carlos Garrido, the national youth team selectors Luis Milla, Julen Lopetegui and Santi Denia, the RFEF coach Juan Carlos Martinez Castrejo…, all on the first day. Different personalities from the sporting world and from football in particular will complete the rest of the programme until Sunday 3 June.
According to the organisers, the Committee for the Coaches' Federation of Castellano-Manchega, supported by the RFEF National Coaches' Committee, there will be around 500 coaches taking part in the event.
