Since my time in charge of Liverpool FC, we receive a lot of items to be signed from fans around the world. In this last ocassion we accepted to sign nearly 100 items in one go with the condition to raise money for one of the charities that we support.

Barnstondale Activity Centre on the Wirral is close to our home and they have had our support in many ocassions in the past. The Centre provides resident activities for children and adults of all sort of abilities. The facility Manager George ensures everyone can participate even if they are in a wheelchair, belong to any range of the Autistic spectrum or have a disability of any kind. Activities include Archery, Shooting , Climbing Walls as well as regular ball games, team building challenges and outdoor visits and water sports. No one is left out! The facilities have the equipment required to provide the smoothest and most pleaseant time even a speciailly adapted tractor to take wheelchairs to the beach through the woods!

Linda, Chris and myself visited the centre to receive an update on the latest developments accompanied by George, Heidi and Ruth. Three school groups were there at the time with 12 supervised activities in progress. The photographs reflect the facilities available and children enjoying all the outdoor activities.  We presented them with the donation fron the signings to be used in the further improvement of the facilities.

Staff, residents and volunteer supporters were keen to welcome us and we shared with them some time watching some of the activities.  We enjoyed a lovely time and also the opportunity to witness the great work they are doing.
