Today I visited´Maestro Lello Esposito´s´ workshop in the Sansevero Palace in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore. Whilst there I also visited the ´Capella Sansevero`. I really enjoy visiting the city of Naples from Castel Volturno, sharing with the Neapolitans, even if only for a few hours, the scenery, streets, plazas and their incomparable monumental heritage. Due to our job it is difficult to do this as often as we would like. It would be nice to have the opportunity to further explore and enjoy this city and its people. Especially days like today, where I had the chance to see the great works by Maestro Lello Esposito, reflecting its Neapolitan roots and symbolic culture. Later, in Cappella Sansevero, it was a pleasant experience to see the staged ´Il Testamento di Pietra´, it highlighted the beauty of the ´capella´ even more, especially the ´Cristo Velato´. Once again this has been a rewarding cultural visit to the city of Naples and here I post some photos taken today. The warm reception that we received is much appreciated and as I said before, I would like to take more time on such exceptional visits but we must be completely focused on preparing for our game against Empoli on Sunday morning.
