Heswall Police in London-Paris Charity Cycle Ride
Last Friday, 7th October, officers from Heswall Police Station returned from France after a successful completion of their London to Paris cycle challenge for the Montse Benitez Foundation. Sergeant Graham Parker stated that all officers engaged in the event returned home tired, but safe and well. The ride was described as physically demanding due to adverse weather conditions including three days in France with the team cycling against 25 mph headwinds and torrential rain on days 3 and 4! Despite this Graham said the team thoroughly enjoyed the trip and have already discussed taking on annual challenges for the foundation!
The final total raised has not yet been collected but is hoped to be in excess of £3,000.
