"The break has done us good. They know each other a bit better. It was quite positive".

"Jonjo Shelvey is pushing now, training well. Longstaff and Hayden doing well and you have to take the positives out of it. It's good for us".

"The only thing is if we win both games we will be closer. Maybe the Fulham game on the last day might be the most important"

"(My contract) is not the priority. The priority is to be ready and focus on the Huddersfield game. That's it. The priority is to stay up and focus on the team. If we have any conversations I'm sure you will get the information. It's not the priority- the priority is Huddersfield and getting the points to stay up".

"Their manager (of Huddersfield) is very clear, they will fight until the end. They have good team spirit. They will keep doing the same. The key for us to do well and score an early, it may give us more confidence".

Asked about the posible start of Miguel Almirón, Benítez answered: "I think so. It's another important decision to make because all of them in this position we have enough players and all of them are playing well. I said before, for any player it is not easy to go to another league with different team-mates and environment, it is totally different.

So he needs some time, but he has one advantage: he can talk with us in Spanish and we have a lot of people that talk Spanish with him, so when we explain the tactics he can understand.

He is trying to do the things we are telling him. When we were following him, we knew we were trying to sign a good lad, a good professional and a hard worker.

He has these characteristics and abilities, but he is especially good at listening and trying to do what we think the team needs. I think he is doing well".

"After the Tottenham game, I was in contact with him (Martin Dubravka) and I was supporting him 100 per cent. After, still it's the same idea.

He's a great keeper, he's a very good professional, and then every player in every position – like every manager – can make mistakes and it's how we react, the key.

He is training harder, if it's possible, and he is fine".

"I want to win every game, so of course, I still want to win trophies. I don't like to play against any manager and not have the chance to compete, that is crucial. The main thing is the players, they can make the difference. But you have to be ambitious".
