Rafa Benítez: Highlights before West Ham

"I was watching the TV the other day & I saw the name (Miguel Almirón)... We don’t talk about the transfer window. We have one month, the team is doing well & we must concentrate on all these games rather than talk about ‘names".

"Everyone can see we need another left-back because we only have one. Paul Dummett knows it too, & he is happy because he wants competition from an attacking player. We need a couple of other positions too, but we will see".

"Always it’s important to win games in a row. We have to carry on. It’s not good to talk too much about it before the game, but afterwards hopefully we can discuss another win. We have some pace now, but it’s still a long, long run for us"

"The confidence is higher so you want to play more games, but you have a lot of games in December. December is a big test for us. It will be a difficult month, but I hope it will be a good one"

"I have been very clear with the players that we have done nothing yet – we have to make sure we keep playing with the same intensity and attitude and mentality.

“Every game is really important but obviously if you are close to some teams, if you can beat them and get the three points then it becomes even more important.

“At the moment it is very important to to be sure our players and fans understand so everybody has got to stay in the same place and continue to push together.”

“They (West Ham) have some very good players who can make the difference, maybe you cannot see it for 80 minutes then in one minute they can change the game, so we have to make sure our players are aware of that.”
