Rafa Benítez, SSC Napoli Coach, shared his point of view at the end of the first match of the season against Feralpi Salo. The friendly, which was played last season on these dates also in Dimaro, ended with a 2-0 victory for Napoli. Hamsik opened the scoreline with the first goal after a great run into the box before half time. Dumitru scored the second in the second half. After the final whistle the Spanish coach analysed the game and praised his team’s performance.

"It has been a good game. I think it is very positive to see Hamsik score the first goal of the season", stated the 'azzurro' coach, who followed on by saying "we have also had the opportunity of seeing a great goal by Dumitru in the second half. In conclusion the team has little by little shown the results of our work carried out in our training sessions".

Furthermore, this game has seen the debut in the 'azzurro' shirt of the new players, Koulibaly and Michu. The defender has shown great flexibility and excellent positional play while the forward from Oviedo has shown a perfect understanding of Benítez' way of thinking for this Napoli, a point which the coach himself has wanted to highlight in his statements "Koulibaly has played with great personality and Michu has shown that he has adapted to his new situation immediately. In general they have played with great quality in this first game and that is very positive".

"We have seen some plays that deserved a lot of merit although logically, there is still some pace missing, at the end of the day we are at the start of the season", continued the Napoli coach, "but I think there are a lot of positive things to highlight from this match".

In conclusion, Benitez has given a message of continuity to his players and has highlighted that "the team has to carry on working as they have up until now, continuing with the same idea that we have been developing during all this time".
