The Westin hotel Munich hosted the press conference and the presentation of the Audi Cup, which will take place this Tuesday and Wednesday in the Allianz Arena. Rafa Benitez spoke to the media alongside Pochettino, Guardiola and Mihajlovic, coaches of Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Milan respectively. The Whites' manager indicated: "For Real Madrid it's important to win the Audi Cup, just as it is to win every other competition, and we are going to try and do it. Although we know it'll be hard because we face some big rivals".

"Cristiano and Benzema aren't here, they had some problems this morning and we prefer not to risk them because our players' health is the most important thing. The rest of the squad is here apart from Coentrão who's injured".

His team

"My first impressions are excellent, I have a great team with fine players. You can see how they train, they're very competitive. I'm delighted, from the very first moment we've seen the desire the players have to win things".

Bale

"Bale will play, he's a huge player for us. I won't talk about offers. He wants to play well, he's happy, we practised certain moves today. Everything looks good and he's going to have an excellent season with us".

Kroos

"I agree with Pep that he's a great player. He's going to play and his Spanish level is acceptable".

"I can't tell you the starting team for tomorrow, but I'm going to do the best I can and I hope to be in the final. It would be great to make the final. We have players with a lot of quality".

The importance of the tournament

"Every game is important. We have a great squad and we analyse every game. We have two important matches against very good teams here and both are important for our players".

Cristiano Ronaldo

"He's brilliant, he wants to win every game, he's a real professional. It's a pleasure working with him. It's a shame he's not here. There are no problems. He's very competetive, he had some back problems so he can't play".

Signings

"Real Madrid has signed some players, but we have a big squad. My responsibility is to keep working so that the team is as competetive as ever".

Benzema's future

"My answer is yes, I believe he's going to say. I can't see any reason why he would have to leave. I'm very happy with him".

De Gea

"I've already said in the five previous press conferences that I'm not interested in talking about players at other teams. We have three very good goalkeepers. I can talk about them, not about others".
