This lunchtime, the Hotel Indigo in Liverpool was the setting for the official launch of The Montse Benitez Charitable Foundation. The Foundation is the creation of Montse Benitez and comes as a result of her involvement and support, physically and financially, for several local charities since the family's arrival in Merseyside.

The creation of the Foundation will help co-ordinate Montse's and Rafa's efforts in assisting the disadvantaged throughout the region and nationally.

During the launch, Montse Benitez presented her ideas for the Foundation, its role within the community and its goals in front of a strong contingent of journalists representing their respective media and local business people. Also present were, of course, Rafa and representatives and fundraisers of the charities the Foundation hopes to support.
