"Champions League Dreams" becomes a huge success in Dublin


The Bord Gais Energy Theatre played host to the official launch of “Champions League Dreams” by Rafa Benitez. The Dublin theatre hosted the exclusive event in which the former manager of Valencia, Liverpool and Inter Milan explained how he took Liverpool to that fifth historic European Cup victory in Istanbul. Fans were captivated as Rafa explained how he orchestrated the mythical comeback from 3-0 down and the rally to eventually win on penalties. The book focuses on other key moments in his unique career looking at the 2006 Athens final, successful duel's against Chelsea and clashes with Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Earlier in the evening Rafa had met with the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association and donated €5000 on behalf of the Montse Benitez Foundation. The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association works to increase public awareness about Lung Fibrosis and to educate healthcare professionals about the needs of patients who have this condition. They also offer Patients diagnosed with Lung Fibrosis by providing information about the condition and the services available to them, their carers and their families. The donation was received by Pam Martin on behalf of the association.
The Irish crowd gave a rapturous welcome to Rafa which ended with fans singing the famous Rafa “chants” from his successful days at Liverpool.

Rafa had started the day by attending a signing at Easons bookstore in Dublin City Centre which was attended by over 300 people .
